THE COLONIAL CONFERENCE. (P«r Pross Association.) WELLINGTON, July G. It was resolved that steps be taken to Bet up a committee in or near Wellington for the purpose of investigating all measures to be passed by Parliament which may bo of interest to farmers. It w a s decided that the slaughtering and Inspection Act be amended in the direction of allowing meat killeel at freezing works under Government inspection to be retailed by any butcher or salesman,

Motions were carried urging tho Government to establish un experimental station ami dairy school in a central position in the North Island ; suggesting that steps be taken to prevtmt diseased bulls being offered at auction ; and that agricultural statistics be collected through tho post.
