THE VALUATION DEPARTMENT.

The statement of tho Valuation Land Department shows receipts £29,280, being for fees £2520, local authorities' contributions £3789, Ad vurnces Ollico contributions £2500, Land Tax Department contributions' £75110, recoveries- £1299, with balance to debit of £11,052. The expenditure knows :—Salaries £11,744, clerical assistance £9311, foes to' valuers £899, travelling expenses £4599, and various small Items, with a modest £l6l for advertising.
