Flying Handicap—Paria 1, Hinetapauriki 2, Local Option 3. Scratched—Good Spec. Won by a head. Time lmin 20 3-ssec. Dividends JLI 15s and £3 4S. Steeplechase—Straybird 1. The other starter (liylua) did not iinisli. S.trayibird's time was 12inin 53sec. Dividend £2 Is. The pace was miserably slow and the horses in turn kept baulking at the jumps.
