WELLINGTON, July 4. An inquest was held this afternoon at Pahiatun. The evidence Allowed that deceased left Mangat'ainoka for his homo at 5.30 p.m. on Sunday. _ He passed his wife's lady help a R?w chains from his own gate. At G. 30 she heard tho b - cycle crashing along the gravel, find on going to the spot found Mr O'Moara lying face downwards. A doctor arrived in a quarter of an hour, and found deceased was dead. Dr. Dawson, who held the post mortem, deposed that deceased's heart and lungs were sound. In his opinion death was caused by an obstruction of blood in the brain, the main artery being completely chocked. A verdict was returned accordingly. Deceased will be b'uTicd to-mor-row. Flags were flown half-mast higb to-day, an<l the affair has east •quite a gloom over the town and district. Mr O'Meara's life was insured for £3OO.
