Free Place Scholars.

o (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHIUICH, July 4. Tho Canterbury College Board of Governors to-day carried the following resolution : That the attention of the Government should be called to the fact that though .this Iboard has adopted free place regulations under the Secondary Schools Act as regards the Girls' High School, the touilding is already overcrowded, and that the Government should be asked to provide the necessary funds to increase the accommodation in order that full effect may be given to the free place regulations.
