Tho market for lamb is not (ojuite so linn, the advance of last week having checked business to some extent. Canterbury brands average Jjjd per lb, others 5Jd to s|d. lleef market remains very flat, at) last week's quotations. Tho butter market is firmer, choicest New /miland sorts averaging 87s per cwt, with a moderate demand, Duiiish Hum advanced to 995. Cheese is dull of sale, and supplies are very large. Finest New Zealand is quoted at 42s per cwt,' In a qpiiet market good and fair Wellington grades of Now Zealand hemp are quoted at £BO per ton OU spot, and £29 10s for July-Septem-bor shipments. Manila, fair current grade, on spot, is £B4 10s. The cocksfoot seed market is Arm, liright clean sees (171b per bushel), on spot is 54s per cwt.
