COOPICR'S IMPERIAL JSKKiUAI'II. Of the many biogruph entertainments given in New Plymouth, none have been more to the liking of patrons than the one introduced by Mr Chas. Cooper last Saturday af-[lei-noon. The theatre was crammed upstairs- -and down by young folks and old, and Ihe programme was received with enthusiasm from start to finish. The first part embraced a line series of animated pictures., illustrating most vividly and realistically the sensational and amusing incidents of Harriet Beecher Stowes' powerful iomai.ee "I'ncle Tom's Cabin." All the scenes were produced with every action of life and received by the audience with unmistakable appreciation. Songs with beautiful scenic eli'icls were introduced at appropriate times. The second part of the programme comprised a grand series of animated events in connection with the Russo-Japanese war. Everyone of these lilms was received with enthusiasm, evincing a great public interest in the progress of the conflict.

Tim programme, witli some additions, will be repeated to-night. Hiss Murphy will be heard in illustrated songs, and Mr Vincent Hiiinington in humorous items. The season conclu<~s to-morrow night (Tuesday).
