PROVISIONS OF THE HILL. THE SCALE OF CHARGES. The Government Licensing Itill wan | issued on May old. It, consists (a 'Home journal reports-) of nine clauses, and occupies six pages. Clause 2 says:—"Where Quarter Sessions refuse tile renewal of a license under this Act, a sum equal to the difference 'between the value, of the licensed premises, calculated «s if litis Act had not passed, ami the value which those premises would bear if they were not licensed premises, shall be paid as compensation to the persons interested in the licensed premise!;."
