Volunteer News.
At the fortMightly parade of the Taranaki Rifles oil Monday (at which there was a good muster) an examination of corporals was held. The Frankley Road rifle range is now being dismantled with the aid of prison labour, and material carted to the new range site at the Waiwakaiho. At a meeting of the Rifles on Monday a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Captain-Quartermaster Cock, Mrs Cock, ami the ladies' committee, for the splendid services rendered by them in aid of the hall held last week.
