ROBBERY UNDER ARMS.
TWO MEN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (Received June 7, ]0.12 pm ) SYDNEY, June 7. Two men named Hill and Bell have 1-pen committed for trial for the Malparinka robbery. The driver of the toach gave evidence that Hill was standing by a gate, with a handkerchief over his face and a gun in his hand. A threat of shooting compelled the witness to hold the horses while the man took the mail bags, llill calltd to "Number Two" to assist him, and a man whom witness believed to be Bell replied, "Coming directly," but took no actual part in the robbery. Bell afterwards joined the coach and accompanied it to White Cliffs. A policeman gave evidence of having arrested Bell as soon as the coach arrived. He then rode to Hill's camp, and while hiding saw him throw a bundle into the shaft. Witness arrested him. The bundle contained the missing mail bags, but their contents were gone.
