THE FROZEN SOUTH.
WORK OF THE SCOTTISH EXPEDITION. LONDON, May 31. Mr Bruce, leader of the Scottish Antarctic expedition, reporta the explorers discovered at the em extremity of Woddell Sea a barrier of ice. Part of the Antarctic Continent was reached at 74deg S., 73 deg W. Soundings showed that the South Atlantic Ocean waß relatively shallow in places where specially deep water was expected.
