THE CONCILIATION BILL. MELBOURNE, June 1. Mr Crouch's second amendment to the Conciliation Bill brought in by Mr Watson, Federal Premier, was rejected on the voices. (This amendment was that the bill be applicable to all State servants.) THE RAILWAY SERVANTS CLAUSE CARRIED. (Received June 2, 1.4 a.m.) MELBOURNE, June 1. In the Federal House Mr Reid characterised the attitude of the Ministry on the Arbitration Bill as one of the greatest abandonments of principle in Parliamentary history. Mr Watson's motion to include railway servants was carried by 36 votes to 23.
