Wedding.

At the ■\Vhiteley Memorial Church on Wednesday afternoon a wedding of interest* 1 to Eltham residents was the contracting parties being Mr 'Samuel Carter (of Eltham), third son of the late Mr. G. A. Carter,- of Waipuku, to Misli Alice. Maud Tiridger, the eldest daughter qf> Mr James Bridget', of ' Nevivffly%, mouth, and formerly Rev. J. N. Buttle was clergyman. The bride, wfjfwas hiost becomingly attired in a pretty costume of cream silk voile, tucked, and trimmed with cream silk lace; chiffon, and insertion, and wore the orthodox veil' and wreath of orange blossoms, was given away by her father.' The bridesmaids were Miss El'sie Scott, dressed in white muslin, with green silk s-ash ami hat to match ; and Misses Emily Hridger, sister /of the brkle, and Julia Elliott, dressed in white silk, with green sashes', and white chiffon hats. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Maurice Bridget', the bride's brother, as best man. After the ceremony a few intimate frlemls gathered at the residence of (the bride's parents, and after partaking of afternoon tea, honoured the usuul toasts, "long life and happiness to tho newly-wedded couple"- being proposed by Mr 11.
