Daylight Robbery.

(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 31. Charles John McLennan, with some aliases, after hearing evidence against him in a charge of assault and robbery, pleaded guilty, and was committed to .the Supreme Court for sentence. He ha-d followed a fellow lodger at eight o'clock in the morning, knocked him down, und robbed him. Mr Graham, S.M., commuted adversely on the conduct of throo men who had seen the offence and j made no effort to detain the neuusled, merely reporting the matter to the police.
