At tho Fanners' Union Conference to-duy resolutions were passed urging that the Noxious Weeds Act bo enforced on Crown and native lands; that raw bone containing anthrax germs should not be imported ; that as each provincial mutual fire insurance association is formed it should amalgamate with other associations to allow of tho establishment of a general fund or distribution of risks ; that the Workers' Compensation for Accidents Act be repealed where it affects farmers; that when rural Crown lands are opened selectors have a choice of tenure ; that all Crown tenants have the right, to acquire the freehold ; that a protest bo made against the maladministration of the I,and Act by the (iovernmcnt, in not offering Crown lands recently opened in Turannki with the option of purchase ; that tile, immigration of persons to settle the waste lands of the colony be encouraged ; that the endeavour to secure the freehold Ijy tenants under the West Coast Settlements lieserve Act be strenuously continued ; that the law lie altered to allow of ap peals against the decisions of Land Hoards.
