(From Our Correspondent.) Since the -bazaar the district has had a much-needed rest from sports, races, bolls, socials and concerts, and thimgs in- genera] are once more pursuing the even tenor of their way.

The trustees of the hall held a meeting on Wednesday evening when balance-sheets for the bazaar and al so for the funds to date were read and discussed. The bazaar resulted in about £165. In this amount is included £3B the estimated cost of the goods left on hand. Instepd of disposing pf these goods it is intpnf}ed to hold them in stock to form the nucleus of another bazaar to be held just before Christmas, and by this means ruise sufficient funds to add a supper room and dressingrooms, and obtain a piano for the hall. Accounts amounting to £292 were passed for payment, and in addition to this it was resolved to refund £lO2, the amount lent byton guarantors at £lO eac-h and one at, £2. The prizes for the two best canvassers lor the bazaar wei*e awarded to Miss J. O'Sullivun and Miss 11. llaker. Votes of thanks were passed to all who had assisted to make tho bazaar a financial success.

l)r. Levingc has lately been slaying at Okato, practising l his profession, and it is generally understood that he is likely to become a permanent resident if'sullicient inducement oilers. This augurs well for the progress of the district and will be a boon to the whole of the coastal settlers,

A meeting of the Cricket Club was held last evening when it was decided to give a ball in honour of the lady supporters of the club and also to revive Inst year's minstrel troupe and commence practices for a concert in aid of the club's funds.
