The Borough Council received and approved this evening plans and a report by Messrs Meason and Marchant of a system for dealing with the sewerage of the borough and probable extension, tho totul length of the pipes planned being 3f)i miles, of which 25 miles is (iin., and the rest larger. The total cost is estimated at £45,525 ; but as the scheme will not bo applied to the whole town yet, £20,000 will be sullicient to meet urgent requirements. It is proposed to run an intercepting pipe along the sea front, the efflux being at two points, through septic tanks outside tho borough boundary. The reports cost £l5O.
