PENNY POSTAGE.
FROM ENGLAND TO THE COLONIES. (Received May 13, 11.27 p.m.) LONDON, May 13. In the House of Commons during the discussion on tho vote for the Post Office Lord Stanley, Postmaster.General, announced that ho had received an indication that Australia was willing to enter upon an Imperial penny postage, and had written altering, if assured of the Commonwealth's assistanoe, that he would not wait for a date, but would establish the penny postage on outward letters immediately. The Treasury had already assented.
