EXPLOSION OF GAS.
NINBTEEN PERSONS INJURED,
(Received May 18, 10.40 p.m.) PARIS, May 13. A baloon descended is the Place Bastille, and the crowd, in order to rescue the aeronaut, made a slit la ' tho cover. .
A smoker's pipe ignited the escaping gas, and in th« explosion which followed nineteen people were injured and a house set on fire.
