Doctor and Patient.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 13. After lasting four -days, the hearing of the case Chappie v. Pliimner was concluded before tho Magistrate this evening, Tho evidence has attracted considerable local attention. The plaintin in tho case is Dr. W, A, Chappie, who claimed from John Plimmer, widely known as the "Father of Wellington," the sium of £IBB for professional services, and Plimmer countorcla-imed for £2OO -damages for unskilful practice and undue intluence. It was alleged in support of the counter claim that Dr. Chappie had acted in an unskilful manner in subjecting Plimmer who is 92 years of ago to continued hypodermic injections 0 f morphia and atrophinc. .Evidence was called in support of this, but on the other hand doctors supported Dr Chappie's treatment. It was further alleged that Cbappje had exercised undue influence over the defendant in regard to certain Umd speculations. Ihe evidence on all points was verv voluminous, and judging reserved,
