LANDING IN AUSTRALIA ON ".FAKED" PAPERS. (Received May 10, 1.7 A.m.) PORT DARWIN, May 0. Wlu*n the cases of a number of Chinese, who were forcibly landed * from the steamer Changsha by order of the South Australian Government, came on for hearing, it was discovered that the certificates upon which they were landed were fraudulent: photographs and thumbmarkings in each caso differing from those ih the original certificates. Tho South Australian Premier has informed tho Federal Government that he ordered tho forcible landing on the strength of assurances by the Customs officials that the certificates were genuine. He now finds them to be otherwise. The cases were postponed pending developments, »- When the Chinese wore landed they were allowed to keep copies of ce£ tilicates, and it is believed tfrfp vera lorwarded io Chin* anT and utilised by other Celestials..
