The Yellow Alien.

O'er Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 8, At an open-air meeting, held under the auspices of the Trades and Labour Council last night to protest against tho introduction of Chinese labour into South Africa, the following resolution was carried,:—" This mass meeting of citizens of Auckland emphatically protests, against the introduction of Asiatic contract labour to South Africa, believing that to do so would endanger the stability of the Empire und be unfair to tho white nnd coloured subjects of the Empire already in South Africa." There was a large attendance, and the resolution, which was moved by Mr G. i'owlds, M.H.R., and supported by Mr F, Baume, M.H.H., was carried unanimously.
