FOOTBALL.

NEW ZEALAND RUOBY UNION

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON,. May 7. The Rugby Union sat tiil one o'clock and then adjourned. The rule regarding ' representation on the union was altered to read that teams shall mean all teams, exclusive of primary school teams, affiliated to the union.

It was resolved that no appeal be allowed from decisions of the Management Committee on all amtters coming within its powers or referred to it.

A proposul to abolish the Appeal Committee was rejected. Unions whose subscriptions are unpaid on .Inly of each year will bo suspended. A new rule was added that representative teams of any affiliated union shall consist of players under control of that union, and no player will bo selected who is resident outside its boundaries. A provision that the New Zenland Union's Management Comniitteo should be the sole judge as to whether the byvlaws of aiilliatcd unions conflict with the bye-laws of the governing body was rejected, and thus appeal to the English union is retained. Other new bye-laws were passed with small amendments, and will be forwarded to the unions. It was resolved if possible that the match North v. South be played before the team is selected to represent New Zealand in (lie match against England in August.
