Omata Road Board.
The annual meeting of ratepayers in the Oinat'a Koiul Hoard district was held on Saturday. Messrs A. (Iwrse, W. Welly a'uU H. Clemow were the only ratepayers present, Mr A. George presiding. The clerk, Mr I). MeAllum, presented the annual statement of accounts, which were passed suliject to audit, on the motion of .Messrs Rielly and Clemow. The board met subsequently, the same members being present. Correspondence, was read from the Treasury, notifying that the first payment of interest, on the .LIMP loun would be due on August Ist. The clerk nolilied having forwarded the valuation roll to Wellington for correction. It was decided to give notice at tlia dune meeting re levying of the rale for the year IttD-l-fi. Oh (lie motion of Messrs Rielly and Clemow it was decided to expend, under the supervision of the chairman, £5 on lho l'nrilutu lioad, and that the chairman deal with tile gates and other obstructions on the road.
The tender of Mr W. George was accepted for forming and inelnlling the Beach Uoiul at Onuila for Vi "is per chain. The other tender was from Mr Kendall nl ii'l 15s per chain The contractor will also metal 2.J chains of the Sen ley Road at. £•! per chain.
Messrs George and Ulelly with the clerk were appointed to sign cheques.
Accounts were passed for payment and the board rose.
