Was it Suicide?
YOUNG MAN SHOT THROUGH THE HEART. Press Association.) GISBOItXE, May 1. Frederick John Wukelyn, manager of Mr McLernon's Clishorne jewellers' shop, was found dead at tlio Waiknrae sand-hills this morning, shot through the heart with a revolver lying beside him. He was to have had a week's holiday to go shooting. Mr McLernon arrived l'ro.u Xapi.'r on Saturday morning, mhl passing his shop on his way lo the hotel shook hands with Wukelyn Returning after breakfast Mr Alclernoti fou d that Wukelyn had gone without giving any reason. This morning his dead hotly ,vas found. His accounts and stock were correct. Deceased was a young num. and leaves a wife and three small children. He took an active part in volunteering, and was for a time a champion shot.
