At the Haymarket last Saturday last pigs sold at from tis to 8s 6d ; horses £1 17s Gd to £7 2s Cd. At the Mart fowls made lid to Is 6d, ducks is. 6d to is lid, cheese 4d. Tho building in Devon-street lately occupied by Chin Kee sold ut £l2.
Cattle.—At Waiwakaiho on Tuesday there was an average yarding and attendance. All young stock, calves to yearlings, were well competed for, and mostly sold at the hammer. Small weoners made 12s to 18s, good do. 259 6d to 31s Gd, springing heifers £4 10s to £5 ss, ■tore cows £2 6s to £3 6s, fat do. £4 15s.
At Stony River on Wednesday there was a fair muster of stock. Calves were in good demand, weaners making 23s 6d to 265, good calves 28s to 33s 6d, 15 to 18 months steers £2 15s, springing heifers £4 9s to £5 10s, old store cows 335, good do. £3 to £3 ss.
MBSSBS VICKERS' & STEVENS' REPORT. Messrs Vickers" and Stevens report that there was a good entry of cattle in their Ingjewood yards on Wednesday, and nearly all lines changed hands at the hammer. Inferior calves made 15s to £1 4s 6d, good calves £1 9s to £1 14s 6d, empty heifers ~£2-.15s to £3 9s, 6pring salvers £3 to £3 15s, springers £4 to'iOTTs. '"
MESSES AUCKLAND AND SON'S REPORT.
(Specialito News.) AUCKLAND, April 29. Horses—Average entry and good demand for young draughts which sold from £33 to £49, medium £2O to £39 10s, hacks and harness £5 6s to£lß.
At Hemucra beef was slightly better worth and steer brought up to 88fl, cow to 21s; a few hundred Steers ranging from £6 10s to £ll. Cows £5 to £8 sb. Sheep—Full market. Wethers 16s to 10s «d to 14s 9d, store wethers 12s fld to 15s, ewes 5s 6d to lis 6d. Pigs— Full supply. Stores 15s to Sis, small 10s, porkers 30s, baconers 50a.

WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.
AUCKLAND, April 27. Horses.— At the Durham yards on Friday there was an average entry, heavy draughts selling from £29 5s to £42, medium do. £2O 5s to £3l 10s, light harness horses £5 5s to £l6 10s, hacks £6 10s to £l2 15s Weeds £1 5s to £3 10s. A sulky, pdny and harness brought £24. Cattle.—At the Newmarket yards on Tuesday there w&b an average muster of dairy and store stock, and •* full supply of beef. We quote ox beef to 22s and cow 18s to 21s per 1001b. Dairy cows made from £i 10s to £8 17s 6d, empty do. £3 5s to £4 10s, calves £1 lis to £2 13s, fat steers £6 5s to £9 17s Od fat cows £4 5s to £7 17s 6d. No heavy weights were yarded. Sheep.—The Newmarket yards were .wall filled on Tuesday. Fat wethers sold from 17s to 23s 9d, fat ewes 13s to 17s 3d, lambs 7s 9d to 14s 9d.
Bigs.—Yarded in full numbers. We quote porkers at £1 9s to £3 2s .weaners 9s 6d to 17s.
At Waiuku on Saturday there was an average muster of cattle of all classes, which met with a ready sale. Dairy cows made from £4 10s to £7 fat do. £5 to £7 10s. calves £1 7s to £2 lis, empty cows £3 15s to £4 7s 6d.
We submitted a large catalogue of hides, sheepskins, etc., on Tuesday Hides.—Market still firm. We quote :—Prime ox 7Jd to 7|d, extra ■tout do. 6}d to 7jd. stout do. 6}d to 6|d, medium do. s|d to sfd light do. 4J-d to s}d, cow, heat lines picked 4}d, bulk 4|d, scored and cut Bfd to 4Jd, stags 3Jd, kip 3Jd to <id, calfskins 4}d to s|d. Sheepskins.—Market same as last week. We quote :—Best butchers' pelts and lambs 2s 4d to 2s 7d country do. Is lid to 2s 3d, small and damaged 3d to Is. Tallow.— Best lines, in shipping tasks, 22s 9d, broken casks and packages 18s 6d to 21s, seconds 15s to 17 6d, rough fat ljd. Horse Hair.—ls to Is 2Jd per lb Bones £S per- ton.
Maize.— Very heavy supplies were received during the week, and the market has eased back to 2s 4d on Wharf for wholesale lines.
Oats.— The market is overstocked. Best lines are worth Is lOd c.i.f. Chaff.— Coming forward more freely and selling at £4 10s on wharf for prime southern.
Potatoes.— Fairly large shipments have been received from the south, end the market has been well plied locally. Prime Derwents aie worth £2 15s to £3, white sorts iXa 10s.
Butter.—Good separator selling at Bd, but poor are not realising; much over Gd per lb. Cheese.—No alteration to report.
ADMNGTON STOCK SALE.
Fat Cattle.—Ateout two hundred head were penned, including some very prime beef. The sale opened tlowly, but afterwards improved, and at the close previous week's rates were current. The market was topped by six steers, which realised £ll 10s to £l2 ss, others £6 "is to .£lO 12s 6d, heifers mad« £5 15s to £8 7s 6d, cows £5 15s to £8 15b. !•«• 100n> beef sold at the close at 18s to 22b 6d. Fat sheep.—There was a moderate entry in numbers, with a good proportion of prime wethers and ewes. The sale opened with good spirit at firmly maintained prices, and hardened as it went on, the keen competition of exporters chiefly conducing to one of the blest sales yet known at Addington, Some of the wethers must have realised 5d per hi and ewes 4d. Very few wethers sold for less than £l"per head, and many ewes fetched over that figure. The range of prices was, for good to prime wethers, 20s to 24s lid, lighter weights 18s to 19s 9d, prime heavy ewes 19s to 225, extra to 245, medium 16s to 18s, inferior 12s 9d to 15s, merino wethers 14s to 17s 9d.
Fat lambs.—The entry was ahout an average in number, and included some very prime lots. Competition
was extremely animated, and an improvement on last week's values _waj» established. Best freezing lambs brought from 16s to 17s 4<l, an extra heavy line making 18s; lighter sorts, but still of freezing quality, from 14s 6d, unfinished lots Jrom 13s. Store Sheep.—A full entry met very keen demand, and previous rates were fully maintained.
Pigs.—There was a large, entry, including a consignment of stores from the Chatham Islands, mostly TamWorth cross—rough in quality and '£ poor in condiVon—whicA had the ef- »•-■. feet Of depreciating prices in this 5.» department. Fat pigs were firm. ._■ Baconers. sold at 45s to 545, one 'fi~ pea reaching 58s 6d (equal to 4Jd tper lb), porkers 33s to""42s (or 4Jd to 6d per lb), large stores 16s to g! JWs, weaners 10s to 15s.
HOME MARKETS. LONDON, April 27. Copper.—Spot £SB 10s, three months £SB To Gd. At the tullow sales 1396 casks were offered, and 205 sold. Mutton, fine 27s 6d, medium 23s 6d, beef, tine 27s 6d, medium 255. LONDON, April "28. Wool.—At the Antwerp sales bid- , ding at the opening was animated, but withdrawals were frequent and sales small. The average rise was live centimes. Two thousand four hundred and thirty-four bales of La Plata were offered and 801 sold. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 46,235,000 bushels. Two cargoes sold at 29s 3d and 29s respectively. Two Victorian cargoes of February shipment, also 8,500 quarters for prompt delivery, sold at 295, and 15,800 quarters of South Australian, just shipped, at 288 9d.
AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. MELBOURNE, April 28. Hides.—Market moderately supplied ; all sections firm at late rates. Tallow.—The demand is dull. Hates locally show a further decline of ten shillings. HOMEBUSH STOCK SALE. SYDNEY, April 28. At the Homebush sales sheep were unchanged and cattle easier. Best wethers 19s 6d to 21s 6d. good 17s 6d to 18s Gd, best ewes 19s to 20s, good 17s 6d to 18s. Best bullocks £lO 10s to £l2 10s, good £9 5s best cows £7 15s to £8 10s, good £7. Beef 255.
