A large gathering this afternoon witnessed tho presentation to the town of a band rotunda in Alexandra Square, the gift of Mr C. BowJeer. The rotunda and a dozen park .seats cost about £6OO. This is the ifirst gift of the kind and Mayor Craigie In accepting the gift hoped Jt would not be the last. Advant-' age waa taken of the gathering to jpresent medals to the local members of the eighth, ninth, and tenth contingents.
