C'AUHINGTON , ROAD. At the annual meeting of householders in the Carrrafftim Hotwt district. Mr G. W. Browne (chairman of the committee) presided, and gave a-short resume of the past year's work. .The following committee was elected :—Messrs A. Cole, E. Keny 011, T. Brooch, T. McEwen, S. Fetch, J. Hawlinson, and G. W. Urowne. The meeting passed a resolution in favour of the establishment of a teachers' superannuation fund in the terms submitted in the circular issued by the Teacher#' Institute. The meeting agreed to open subQcriptlon lists to' augment the fund • now being raised to present a shield and gunnery prizes to the battleship •NewZeaJand. Vote* of thanks were accorded the outgoing committee, and the meeting closed. The committee met subsequently, end re-elected chairman and secretary for the ensuing year. Mr J. fiawlinson was appointed to sign cheques in conjunction with the Chairman. Tenders were accepted for •upply of firewood and cleaning the Whool.
