TROUBLES IN SMYRNA. (Received April 27, 12.10 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, April 26, Turkey, contraty to treaty, has Imposed upon Greek tradesmen in Smyrna licenst duty and closed their shops for non-payim-nt of it. M. Delyannis, Secretary of the Greek Consulate, a dragoman and four of his kavasses reopened their premises. The police and fifty soldiers attacked them and struck all of them with the butts of their rifles. They wounded Delyannis, who fired in selMefence. Delyannis and others were arrested, but were subsequently released at the French Consul's instance'. The Ottoman Minister, in face of tht* excitement over the incident in Greece, promises satisfaction.
