At Iluhotu on Thursday, owing to the bad weather in the morning, there was a small muster of stock ; bidding was brisk for all young cattle, calves selling well. Weauers made 24s 6d to 355, good store cows £3 13s Oil, forward do. £4 4s Gd. Hairy cows ill the estate of the late J. Kirk made fair prices, ranging from £4 to £G 15s. 'Furnituro and sundries sold at average rates. Owing to the wet weather preventing stock coming forward, I have decided to hold an extra sale on Thursday, .May 5. The sale of Mr Greenaway's Ironmongery stock on Wednesday was well attended, and a large quantlity of goods were sold at prices in favour of buyers. On Thursday on tjfie Avenue Road I held a clearing sale of household furrulure on account of Mrs W. F Greeuaway, when there was a very large attendance, and very satisfactory prices were realised for nearly all lines.

Store t,hcep and lambs.—The entry wtis much smaller than at recent markets, and with an active demand there was u further advance in prices. Well-conditioned wethers, of which there was a good entry, were particularly in request, tlootl ewes were very keenly competed for at an advance on last week's rates. Fat loinljs.—-An average entry in point of number included a fair proportion of prime lambfe. There was a 'brisk demand for all grades at fully late values. WEEKLY MARKET REPORT. AUCKLANIJ, April 20. Horses—Al the Durham yurds on Friday last we had a full muster, the attendance also being good. Heavy 'draughts sold from £2B to £37 10s. medium do. £lB 15s lo £-20, light harness 1 'horses £lO 10s lo £lO 10s, weeds £1 13s to £3 10s, Cattle.—At the Newmarket yards on Tuesday there was an average muster of dairy and store stock, and u full supply of beef. We quote dniiry Cows £4 10s to '£7 us, dry do. £2 10s to £4 ss, tend calves £1 lis to £2 17s. The quality of the beef, although no extra heavy weights were yarded, was extra good, ox selling up to 235, and cow 19s lo 21s per lOOlbs. Fat steers made from £0 10s to £ll, fat cows £4 10s to £7 7s lid. Sheep.—The Newmarket yards were well filled on Tuesday, and for those of good quality the demand was good, the late high prices ruling. Fat wethers sold from 13s 9d to 22s 'Jd, fat ewes 13s Od to 18s 6d. Lambs, in full supply, from lis Od to 13s (id.
Pigs.—Yarded in larger numbers than usual. We quote porkers 14s to £2 iis, weaners 8s (id to l'Js. On Wednesday at Fukekohe there was an average muster of cattle of all kinds, and prices showed an upward tendency. Dairy cows sold from £4 10s to £7 15s, heifers £3 lf>s to £6 12s Od, calves £1 Ills to £2 I.os, grown steers £5 15s to £7 2s (jd ; fat'stock at Newmarket prices.
At J'ukekohe on Monday we held a special tale of horses, 207 being yarded. For anything young and for good sorts competition was brisk, but worn town and 'bus horses were hard -to quit. Good young unbroken draughts sold from £2H to £35, medium do. £2O to £32, hacks £ls 10s to £2O, "weeds" £1 15s to £5 15s.
Hides.—Market firm for all well flayed lots. We quote prime ox 7Jd to Bd, extra stout do (VJ'd to 7Jd, stout do. (5.1 d to (i'd, medium do. s ;<l to (id, light do. 4'd to 5Jd, Cow, best lines, 4jd, bulk 4 jd, scored and cut Mjd to 4Jd ; stags 3Jd ; ki|i MJd to 4Jd. Calfskins 4jd to s'd. cut Jiid to 3*d.
