Roads Construction.
(I'er Press Association.) IVELLIXGION, April 8. The Premier to-day opened the new bridge over the llutt Kivor, built at a cost of £7731.. In the course of a speech Mr Seddon said it was interesting to nots that approximately the mileage of dray rouuß and bridle roads constructed and improved from the Inauguration of the public works policy to the end of 18 ! .)3-!)4 was—dray roads, 6064 miles ; bridle roads, 473G miles ; total 10,800 miles. Since the end of 1809-1)4 and up to ■3lst March last there have 'jfeen constructed and improved—dray roads f>Bs'J miles ; bridle roads, 471)5 n.ile..' total 14,651 miles.
