Rifle Shooting.
The Inglewood Hide Association commenced its lirst meeting yesterd«y under favourable weather conditions. The arrangements were hardly as completed us they might lmve been, owing no doubt to the short tune available since the idea of a meeting was mooted. This, with Ule unexpectedly hirge number of competitors (between BO and 70) who attended, made the progress of shooting somewhat slow. The New Plymouth Match, ten shuts at .TOOyds, was won bv Troop! er lhorpe (Wairoa M,H.) with a °! rL ,' rhL ' SU ' atfo «l Match, -00 and bOOyds, fell to Private liak(lnglewood Hides). Lieutenant Percival (Llawera M.R.) i; !' "" V an(> T o'licer, and Colour- ■ 0 Beaut Arimtage (Turaimki Hides) as trench officer. The meeting will |„. continued on Monday.
