Industrial Exhibition.

The buihling and site committee was not prepared with a report, and it was decided that the sub-commit-tee be asked to report at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 29th inst., so that the exhibition committee should be able to place il before the executive meeting at 8 o'clock that evening. Messrs Snowball, .J. H. Comiett, Jioberlson, ami Staples were added to the committee, It was decided, on the motion of AUfcsra Carter ami Cock, to appoint an art eoinmitlee consisting of .Messrs M. Eraser, A. L. Cooke, Gordon, C. \V. Govett, and J<ev. Jhad--1 bury, with power to add to their j number.
Mr Carter reported, on behalf of the native village committee, that the Okato natives would be available and that the cost of erecting wliares and other expenses, outside of cost of food, would lie £101) or thereabouts. The committee were accorded thanks for their efforts so far. opinions being expressed that this native'scheme was going to prove a great attraction. it was decided that as soon as the necessary information comes to luitid a meeting of the committee lie called to draw up a schedule.
The secretary was authorised to write to engine manufacturers and agents asking on what terms power could be secured, the intention being to obtain motive power in payment for space. It was decided to appoint the chairman and mayor to eommimicuto with the Government with a view to securing u subsidy on prize-money in the dairying class, a big prize to be ollered for the New Zealand championship in butter and cheese. A committee was set up to take charge of the whole of the dairying section, consisting of Messrs ,1. 11. Connett, Ji. Cock, .Robertson, J. (J. Jlarkness, fi. K. Moiison, and il. Okey, with power to add to their
number. No new business will be taken at
the exhibition committee meetings after 9.80 n.m. On the motion of Messrs Amburv and ..'ones, Ids Worship the Mayor
will communicate with the Premier and Ministry, asking them to be present. at the exhibition, and also to secure, if possible, Lord , Plunket, the new Governor, to perform the opening ceremony. The meeting adjourned for a week.
