Inquiry hy a News representative subsequently disclosed the fact that Mr Michael Avlward single, about 50 years of age who, with his brother Edward has curried on farming operations at Warea lor many years past, was the umorliinale victim. He was working at some distance from the homestead and about, mid-day a little girl,' a niece, was currying his lunch across the fields when she discovered her uncle sitting, us she thought, on the. side of the ditch, lie was, she believed, dead then, and she went home and informed the family. Assistance was at once soul out, and it was found that the deceased had been horribly gored by a bull which was in the paddock. Death must have followed quickly on the injuries, which are said to have been of a terrible nature. The deceased was well known and highly esteemed throughout the district.
