A quantity o{ sundries and furniture made low prices. Cattle—At Stratford on Tuesday there was an average yarding and a good attendance. Weaners made 15s 6d to 23s 6d, .good calves 29s to 32a 6d, yearlings £2 5s Gd, IB months eteers £3 to £3 5s 6d, heifers in calf £3 to £3 lis, store cows £2 to £3 ss, lat do. £4 15s to £4 18s 6d. At Rahotu on Thursday cattle came forward in advertised numbers, and there was a good attendance. Calves to yearlings and good quality were well competed for, and made satisfactory prices. Aged mediums sold from £9 10s to £26, good hacks and harness £l6 to £24 10s, ordinary £lO to £l3 ss, weeds and ponies £2 12s fid to £B. At Rumuera dairy cows were in demand, and sold up to £lO, backward springers £5 to £6 10s. liei>f made better, value, steer selling up to 25s per 1001b, and cow to 21 u. The demand was keen, and the bulk were sold til an advance on late rates, the price of beef ruling from 22s to 2<>s per 100 lbs. Eleven steers sold on account ' of Mr T. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the Agent-General, under date 6th : Mutton.—Market quiet. There is scarcely any prime quality mutton. Prices were from par to iive per cent, advance in crossbreds, and there was a similar decline in merinos. The total wheat and Hour afloat for the United Kingdom is 5.530,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1 320,000. Atlantic shipments, 37;000 quarters; Pacific, 23,000 quarters. Shares.—Bank of Australasia, 88 ; Union, 42$ ; others unchanged. LONDON WOOL SALES. WELLINGTON, March 10.
