At the> annual meeting of the Westport Coal Company, the chairman (Sir Henry Millar) said the proiit for the year was £57,011, exclusive of £14.7 brought forward. An interim dividend of 3s Gd per share bad been paid in August last, and it .was now, proposed to pay a like apd a tfsmis of :js 6d per Share, anid carry to the reserve fund £15,000, leaving £9,158 to be brought forward. The directors had decided to make a new road on the surface at Dennis too, and avoid a daSKeroua tunnel, to be ready for trailic ira July.
