WAIMATE, Dec. 8. At a meeting of the Caledonian Society on Saturday evening it was decided to alliliate with the N.a. Association of Caledonian Societies, Al'ter the, allMalion had been agreed to, Mr Rule, the Secretary of the Oamaru Society, who was present at the meeting, promised to write to tho prominent athletes who are coming to Oamaru to compete at tho championship meeting to oak them to compete at Wainmtc. In addition to the prize money on the prin-' ted programme the meeting voted '•« nnotlier £lO for a few of the principal events. The Society has thh* year laid down a new and up-to-date track, owl a great gathering is anticipated.
