In dispensing wiili thie remainder <>f their specimens tliey found three small sandwiches at, the bottom of the bag, and these they ate about 8 a.m., this being the last food they had till about 10 o'clock this morning. About noon on Monday they got bellow the fog level, aiid hy 2 o'clock they made out they were below Middlemarch in the direction of Suttons. As they did not think they could lvaoli Uladbrook last night they rested till 3.50 this morning, passing an uncomfortable night, their clothes being wet. The search parties wero recalled, while the wanderers wore hospitably entertained. The party whv-'h went, from town, including Inspector O'Jirien, Mr T. McKenxie M.H.R., and several leading citizens, found after organising for the search that there was practically no need, for their servjices.
