WILLOUGHDY-OEACH CO. ft There was a good audience at tho Theatre Royal o'li Tuesday evening, when the Wiilo'Ug.hby-Cieaeh Company produced the farcical coim-dy "Topsy Turvy." The comedy was prucedud by a charming comedietta, " Mrs Hilary Regrets." This was exeeodiii'gh funny, and put 'the audience in excellent humour for the reception of the major production. Miss Mabel ilwdinge-Multby as Mrs Hillary, and Mr Tom Cannom, as Dr. Power, caused roars of laughter. " Topsy Tur\'y" is one of those delightful pieces which are built up of comic situations and bright dialogue, and just the sort of thing that could never fail to please when interpreted by such t a leu tod artists as those of this troupe. Tliei>e is nothing' worth calling a plot, but simply a fun-embroidered tale of tho linumcial dillicult'ies of a young couplo whoso artiiices to keep the wolf (in the shape of butchers, baiters and grocers loudly and vehemently demanding money) from the door made the audience fairly ache with' laughter. Not for a single moment was the fun allowed to lapse, but it ,«h Jt n-\ Vii f' ht , ° n from - st ''i'-<- to llns • Ihel.ans share of the acting lell on Air Tom Suimmm, who took the part of Joshua Slinky? a g.oZ: • aa t- om ° f Ule «*to'«aM cmliton>.
