On and after Dec. 1 a daily mail closing at 12.30 p.m., will be despatched for the following offices :
Waitara, Inglewood, Tariki, Stratford, Eltham, Hawera, Patea, Wanganui and South. Note.—The public are again reminded that Christmas Cards should be posted in covers entirely open at ou« end or both ends in open envelopes, with the flap turned inskte. If the covers are not sufficiently open, the articles, if addressed to places within New Zealand, are taxed tha deficiency at letter rates of postage, and forwarded to destination ; but if addressed to places beyond the colony they are detained and sent to the Dead Letter Office, Wellington.
