The" Court of Directors of (he j{oyal Humane Society met to-day and awarded the bronze medal to Mrs Nellie Stewart for saving her husband from drowning- at the Croixelle.s on March IT. Robert Lynam wag awarded the silver medal for having rescued Paul Bock from drowning on March sth, and .lames, Murdoch from drowning on May '2B. oft' the Marine Parade at Napier. The bronze medal was awarded to Norman H. Dodson, of Blenheim, aged 16, for saving Trevor Mice from drowning in Optiwa River. Constable h. B. Mclvor and H. Knnis were each awarded the silver medal for rescuing two women from a burning house in Auckland on .June 19. Agmes Butcher was awarded a letter of commendation for assistance in rescuing a small girl named Pearl Shaw, whose clothes caught fire in Auckland on April 15.
