A Street Stampede.

Per Press Association, WELLINGTON, Nov. 29. While a number of fat cattle were being shipped at the Glasgow wharf on Saturday evening two bullocks jumped into the sea, and, swimming along the water front, effected a landing at Pipitea Point, Thorndon. One of the beasts was shot just on coming out of the water, but the other bolted into the city and sped furiously along Lambton Quay, the peopljo scattering in all directions. Two persons were conveyed to the hospital in consequence of being thrown over by the beast. Tts career was stopped in Lower Manners Street by a rifle bullet.
