(Per Press Association-), CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 27. At a meeting of the Council of th« League of New Zealand Wheelmen it was decided to hold the New Zealand championships at Lancaster Park on March 26. The Dannevirke Club wrote threatening to delete cycling events of the League and insisted .on its running events ln-ing held under the rules of the Associated Caledonian Societies. The Council decided to adhere to its agreement with the Associated Societies. Letters were read from centres approving of the proposed alteration to the rules regiarding amateur, trophies. The Otago centre of the Athletic Association wrote stating that St disapproved of the proposal of the Pioneer Club that the Associations should take over the control of amateur cycling. A letter received from the International Cyclists' Union in Paris stated that this year's world's championships would be held in London. Correspondence was received from Australian riders with reference to proposed visits to the colony. It was decided to reply that should riders come to the colony after the New Year plenty of race meetings will be open to them. A sub-committee was appointed to draft mles for the control of motor racing. It was decidV ed to instruct the local centre not to issue amateur licenses to any of the cycling competitors at recent Pioneer meeting.
