The Loss of the Ovalau.

SYDNEY, Nov. 20. At the Murine Court of Enquiry on tho loss of the Ovalau the Government analyst, as tho results of a series of experiments, gave evidence that ho was of opinion that copra was liable to spontaneous combustion. It contained 34 ptir cent. oil. Fibrous matter soaked willi vegetable oil was subject to spontaneous coirfbustion. The Court found it impossrblo with any certainty to determine the cause of the lire. Evidence pointed to spontaneous combustion of copra. Tho captain deserved all credit for doing everything possible under tho most trying conditions, and was most ably assisted by ofllcers and crew. Boatswain Larking was specially commended for going down the ventilator to locate the fire.
