Wreck of the Ben Avon.

WELLINGTON,. Nov. 12. It is most prolialble that the wrecked vessed Ben Avon will be abandoned to the underwriters. The amount of insurance on the cargo and hull is not known yet. A steamer leaves port at 2 a.m. for' Cape Halliser, and will bring Captain Dixon and the crew and the body of the late Captain McKinnon up to Wellington. An inquest was to be conducted yesterday by a Justice of I'eaoe at Whatarangi touching Captain McKinnon's death.
