A 20-foot shark pursued J and struck the cutter, making a large j hole in her. Tha party had barely time to escape in a dingy before tbe cutter sank. The force of the impact killed the shark. Charters Towers, October 27. There was an unprecedented hailstorm, followed by heavy rain. Fruit trees were cut up and poultry killed.
