PER PBEBS ASSOCIATION, - BOUSE OF KBPBESKNTATIVES. MONDAY, OCTOBHB 26. The House met at 7.30 p.m. It was decided to ask for a conference on the amendment made by the Council in the Municipal Corporations .Act Amendment Bill. The Fisheries Encouragement Bill passed its final stages. Sir Joseph Ward moved the recommittal of the Fisheries Conservation Act Amendment Bill so as to extend the open season for boat to 30th April, with a provision for shortening j the season in any district on the application of the Acclimatisation Society. He also asked to have the license] altered for men throughout New Zealand to £l, and for women, or boys attending school and under 16 ss. The fees for half season, day licenses, and single river licenses to be fixed by the Governor-in-Council. The recommittal was agreed to and the amendments' tdopted, The Bill then paesed its final stages. Sir Joseph Ward moved the committal of the Companies Bill, a large consolidating measure Which would do a great deal to smooth the way of commerce in the country and facilitate the formation of private companies. An important prevision was that the partners had to subscribe the whole of the capital shown on the memorandum of association. After a brief discussion the committal was agreed to. In Committee, Mr Duthie said the Bill appeared so perfect it was impossible for any private member to jnakeany amendment to it. (Left Sitting.)
