ANTARCTIC EXPLORATION.
THE RELIEF EXPEDITION. , Per Press Association. "WeWilNGton, October 8. Captain Oolbecb, who is to command the relief expedition to the Discovery, now icebound in the Antarctic regions, [arrived by the Papanui. He will probably go to Lyttelton to-night to join the Morning, and will sail for flobarb to-morrow. He corroborates the Hobart cable that the relief ships will get kway from Hobart about'the middle of December, and reach the ice about the middle of January. If it is humanly possible to get the Discovery put it is expected she will be freed about the of March. If the ship cannot be released the officers and crew will be brought back by the relief ship.
