HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

A draft of tbe University Bill was read, a copy of which was before the Education Board at last meetiog. Some discussion took place regardicg it, and it is understood that a conference on the question will shortly be held in conjunction with the Taranaki and Waoganui Education Boards. Mr Duckworth's resignation as gymnastic instructor was accepted. Dr Valintine, of the Health Department, sent in a long report on the sanitary condition of the school. The matter was referred to Mr Berry to confer with the architect, who is to bring down plans and an estimate for carryirjg out Dr. Valintine's suggestions. The Ohaitman and Mr Percy Smith reported that, as authorised at last meeting, they had called for applications and appointed Miss O'Connor as sewing mistress. After some discussion regarding certain lessees conditions, accounts were passed for payment and the Board rcse.
