(lioa clx 0\;:: F'.m ths SiwKy sohoot .wn'versary we i id fcta finoftt ar.iiduv for saontbs, and «rith two days rain, were igain favoured with a fine day on Wednesday for the tea. The tables were most bountifully spread by the generous parents. Needless to say, this part of the programme was popular with both children and visitors. After outdoor games and lolly scrambles, the school was well filled and the public meeting and prize distribution took place. The eyes of the children gleamed on the array of prettily bound and large volumes, largely illustrated, of which shortly thoy , should be the proud possessors, Kev. J. H. White presided. Excellent addresses were given by the Chairman, Mies White (superintendent of the school), Mr Billing (the treasurer), Mr Dunn (one of the parents), and Mr Hughson, of Rahotu. Messrs Wells and McGregor gave highly appreciated songs, and Messrs T. Wilcox and E, and S. Taylor effective recitations. A reading from " Helen's babies" (one of the prizes) evoked much enjoyment and laughter. The children's hymns, toe, were pleasingly rendered, and the usual votes of thanks most cordially voiced. The singing of the Doxology closed a very happy gathering. Every household on the road was represented at the Anniversary.
